Final Big 10 Standings
The Big Ten regular season is officially over and just as was predicted on this blog and by many people back in December, Wisconsin dominated the conference from start to finish. In thisfinal week I went 11-3, which had me finish at 93-33 for the season. Here is a look at the final standings which shows what the seeding will be for the Big Ten Tournament. Official tournament predictions will go up tomorrow.
1. Wisconsin: 16-2
2. Maryland: 14-4
3. Michigan St: 12-6
4. Iowa: 12-6
5. Purdue: 12-6
6. Ohio St: 11-7
7. Illinois: 9-9
8. Indiana: 9-9
9. Michigan: 8-10
10. Northwestern: 6-12
11. Minnesota: 6-12
12. Nebraska: 5-13
13. Penn St: 4-14
14. Rutgers: 2-16
The biggest surprise definitely goes to Purdue. I didnt see anyone having them finish above 8th before the season started, and most had them around 10th. For them to end up 5th is a big accomplishment. Honorable mention goes to Northwestern. 6 wins and a 10th place finish is a pretty good finish for that program. Biggest disappointment goes to Nebraska. After finishing 3rd last year, they took a huge step back to 12th. Honorable mention goes to Michigan, as almost everyone expected a top 5 finish, but they ended up 9th.

Big Ten Standings: The one seed hasn't officially been clinched by the Badgers, but one more win will do it. Maryland is basically locked into the 2 seed as well. The 3-7 spots are still a jumble with the 4-6 spots a dead lock tie. Whoever ends up as the 3 and 4 seeds will be huge as they get double byes in the big ten tourney
