The Lightning return home Tuesday night hoping to regain their scoring touch that has left them. It will begin a stretch of four of five games at home, with the only roadie in the litter box Saturday afternoon. The Canadiens meanwhile will be playing their first game since their humiliating 6-0 defeat at the hands of the Maple Leafs Saturday night. The Canadiens racked up 65 minutes of penalties in that game, their most in two seasons.
The Bolts have averaged a mere 1.50 goals per game over their four game losing streak. Despite this they still lead the league in scoring illustrating just how hot their offense had been at the beginning of the season. They are also giving up an alarming 3.50 goals per game during the losing streak.
One of these two teams is going to be relieved for a win, as Montreal is on their own three game losing streak. Carey price, who is having a nice season with a 2.21 GAA has not fared well lately against the Bolts, going 1-4 with a 3.10 GAA in his last five against them.
Its hard not to imagine Lindback getting the start in this one after Garons rough start Sunday that got him pulled.
One player to keep an eye on will be Montreals Erik Cole, who has 10 goals and 12 assists in sixteen career games against the Lightning.
